Lake Lygnern is approximately 20 km long and its deep
depths and clear waters are home to numerous different
species of fish. Among these are some of southern
Sweden’s less common species of fully grown freshwater
trout.
It is not uncommon to hook trout weighing up
to 5 kg, pike up to 15 kg and bream of up to 4 kg.

- The tags from tagged trout should be handed into a fishing permit vendor. Tags carry a
100 kr reward and you will also be entered into a lottery and the chance to win yourself
some fishing equipment.
- The minimum catch size for trout is 35 cm, salmon 50 cm and eel 37 cm.
- Fishing for trout or salmon is forbidden from the 1st October to the 28th February.
- A motorboat speed limit of 5 knots applies to Sundsjön, Staborgsund, Bräckaviken och
Storån.
