West of Borås you will find Viaredssjön, an elongated body of water low in nutrients. There is a steep valley at the lake’s outlet which, with pine forest surroundings, has an almost alpine feel. In certain places the lake is up to 40 m deep offering a challenge for pike-perch fishing. In the smaller lakes there are pike, perch, roach and eel.

• The minimum catch size for pike-perch is 50 cm
• Fishing for pike-perch is forbidden from 15th May to 15th June.
