Ryssbybäckens FAA, with its many lakes, lies partly within the Rya Åsar nature reserve. The area is characterised by pine forest and nearly all the lakes are rich in calcium. Several of the area’s smaller lakes are used for drinking water. This area lies immediately north of Borås and includes the Ryssbybäcken stream with its populations of trout and char.

• Fishing with several pieces of equipment at the same time is forbidden, although you can ice fish with a maximum of 5 pieces of ice-fishing gear In Ryssbybäcken

• Fishing is only permitted from 1st May until 30th September
• The minimum catch size for trout and char is 30 cm
• A fishing permit only allows a maximum catch of 3 fish (trout/char) after which all other fishing is forbidden.
• Fishing with several pieces of equipment at the same time is forbidden.
